The Frequent Flyer: What's in my Bag #2

After over 20 years of flying long haul I've learnt to be prepared for every eventuality and also how to keep myself occupied on 8 - 10 hour flights because lets face it that long in a small confined space with nothing to do and nowhere to go can easily make a person go mad! So this is what I took with me on my flight to China.

I know what you're thinking how on earth did she fit all that into one bag? All I can say is years of playing Tetris on long boring flights has given me the awesome skill to pack everything I can into a tiny compressed space, and if you think I'm a great packer you should meet my mother she has packing down to a fine art!

So here's a rundown off what I took with me: Passport, tickets, travel Moleskine (not taking my laptop so I got a Moleskine to document my adventures), a pen, dress, gloves, spare underwear, sunglasses, purse & travel money, vitamin case + vitamins, Hello Kitty camera case + camera, Fisheye camera, phone, business postcards (these are awesome to give out to people!), MAC Hello Kitty mirror, Hello Kitty facial towel + tissues, mini makeup kit, comb & "Liquids bag", sweeties, reading material (China related of course), iPod, Nintendo DS + games, Vado video recorder and my glasses.

Tell me what are your travel essentials, those things you absolutely cannot get on a plane without and what way do you keep yourself occupied on long haul flights?

Bye Bye Blighty, 你好 China

I'm leaving for "Project Panda" tomorrow and I'm nervous and excited all at the same time. This will be my first time visiting China and I'm so excited to see what life is like there as I've heard so many amazing things, I've been given such a wonderful opportunity to work more closely with my favourite creatures and it really will be a once in a lifetime experience.

Unfortunately I won't be able to update you on my adventures till I return due to China's internet censorship, but I may be able to email a few pictures to my twitter and answer any questions you may have for me about it on formspring so keep an eye on those. In June I'll be visiting my family in Thailand which I'm very excited about as I always have the best time in Thailand and I've been craving some good street noodles for sooo long!

As I'll be away for a while I've scheduled in a few special blog entries so you won't be too bored of reading the same old thing.

So I bid you adieu and farewell and I'm sure when I return I'll have some interested stories to tell.
Love & Hugs

It's Cocktail Hour (Pink Apple Fizz)

It's Holiday Monday, the sun is shining, the birds are singing and flowers are blooming. Today is the perfect Spring day which makes a nice change from the week of rain we had last week, so what better excuse is there to break out the cocktails?

I love cocktails on warm sunny days it gives me that feeling of being on some exotic paradise island eating pineapples and watching brightly coloured birds flying through the skies, bliss!

Pink Apple Fizz

This is a little something I knocked up today, half apple and elderflower juice and half pink champagne finished off with lots of ice. It's the perfect blend of refreshing fruity sweetness all you need is one of those little cocktail umbrellas and you're halfway to paradise!

Try it out and let me know what you think, do any of you have your own cocktail creations?
