Happy Halloween! Do you have any exciting plans for tonight? My plans tonight consist of a huge bowl of popcorn, a couple dozen packets of sweets, and a pile of scary movies to watch and a knife at my side! October has been a strange month it started off like summer and now it's ended in winter, I've had intense busy times and times of sheer boredom so I'm almost glad to welcome in a new month....

Quick & Easy Brownies

Quite often I find myself with an intense sugar craving after devouring all sweets and cakes in the house so I raid the cupboards for a few ingredients to rustle myself up some new treats. This recipe is so quick and easy to make that absolutely anyone and everyone can make these, it's also a great way one for kids to try out to!

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup coco powder
  • 1tsp baking powder
  • 1tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2/3 cup oil
(makes approx 8 brownies)

Preheat an oven to 175 and grease and line a baking tray.

Mix together all the dry ingredients (flour, coco, sugar, baking powder, salt) together into a bow.

Add the water and oil into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix until the batter is smooth.

Pour the mixture into the lined and greased baking tray.

Place the baking tray in the oven to cook for 30 minutes.

Once the brownies are cooked removed from the oven and allow to cool.

Cut into squares and serve or just devour the whole pan NOM!

Eat & Enjoy!

Halloween Treats: Handmade with Love

by boopsie.daisy
There's something about Halloween that gets me in the crating mood whether it be cooking up some delicious treats, making jewellery, decorating the Batcave or raiding my sewing box for costume ideas so I'd thought I'd share with you some of my favourite Halloween goodies from my Etsy Shop.

You can't have Halloween without pumpkins so I made this little brooch especially for you to pin onto your hats, scarves, coats or even your costumes, so you can take that little bit of Halloween with you wherever you go, who knows maybe it'll transform into a beautiful carriage and whisk you away to a magical party!

Every Halloween I take one of my animal scarf designs and give it a creepy makeover this year my bunny scarves were the victims and this is the results of my crazy experiments, don't worry despite Frankenbunny looks I assure you he's a complete sweetheart and I promise he won't nibble on your neck.

I have a thing for skull jewellery as you guys know so I though Halloween was the perfect time to craft some for myself and for that added creepy effect the skull glows-in-the dark! But if this one is too creepy for you I made another Betsey Johnson-esque skull necklace complete with sparkly red bow.

No witch can be without her familiar so here's a cute alternative for those witches who may be allergic to our kitty companions. Kitty is just as cute, cuddly, and magical as her real counterparts and comes gift wrapped to you in a cute blood red bow, not just perfect for Halloween but perfect to wear all year round!

As a special treat to all my readers I'm offering you an exclusive 10% off any purchase in my Etsy shop from now until the 31st October, just type the code TRICKORTREAT at the checkout!

A Ghoulishly Gorgeous Wishlist

What better to way to start the month of morbid celebrations than with a wishlist. Halloween, although not the big celebration it should be here, is my favourite holiday I love all the horror themed items in the stores and the plethora of movies on at the cinema and although I pretty much dress dark everyday, when Halloween comes I like to push the boat out so here are just a few things making my black heart beat faster.

Steel Spine Heels
These heels are perfect, I've been searching for a pair of spine heels for the longest time and these have won my heart. Snow white leather against an icy steel heel is the perfect match and totally in tune with my winter lookbook, I adore these heels so much and I need them on my feet ASAP!

Skingraft x Twisted Lamb Leggings
This is such a great collaboration between clothing designers Skingraft and goth fashion blog Twisted Lamb, I love how the skeleton print twists and creep up your leg almost as it they're your own bones.

Skeletor Belt
One of these belts will cost you £2,455 which yes is completely out of my price range but a girl can dream right? This belt is absolutely stunning and can be worn in so many different ways , I love how it is a one of a kind hand-crafted design.

Blackmilk Swimsuits
Not only do these guys make A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. leggings but they also have some pretty darn gorgeous swimsuits to, I'll admit I don't go swimming that often and I've had my one barely been worn swimsuit for five years and counting but if I had one of these babies I would definitely make the effort to wear it more often!

Swarovski Skull Ring
No jewellery collection is complete without a sparkly skull ring, I unfortunately broke my favourite skull ring a while back but have fallen head over heels for this sparkly pink number by Swarovski.

Louise Black Skeleton Corset
When I joined Etsy over 5 years ago this corset was one of the first things I fell in love with and after 5 years I still don't have it in my possession! One of the best things about this corset is seeing the many different ways people have styled it, this photo by Viona Art has to be one of my favourites.

Alexander McQueen Skull Clutch
I've been in love with these McQueen clutches for the longest time, they come in so many different designs but the Samurai skull clutches are probably my favourite from the collection but I'll happily take this fringe clutch to.

Leather Eyecage Mask
Another awesome handmade find on Etsy, there's nothing like dressing like a superhero (or sexy villain) to make you feel like one, this is a great twist on a traditional eye mask I love it!

Vivienne Westwood Skeleton Necklace
Skeletons and Vivienne Westwood what's not to love? Vivienne Westwood jewellery is the best, I love that all the little parts are moveable and the way it almost dances around your neck.
