Sparkle, sparkle

One of my newest hobbies has been customising my belongings. I'll admit I'm the type of person who likes to bring a unique flair to things and make things my own and any excuse I have to be a bit creative I'll welcome with open arms!
At Christmas I purchased a couple of Strapya World's Shiny Gem Fukubukuro (or lucky bags) which came packed full of sparkly gems, bows and various other cute accessories for me to use to decorate my belongings as well as a handy tube of glue. I was absolutely delighted with all the contents and couldn't wait to bring some sparkle to all my belongings.

One of the first things I decided to decorate was my Nintendo DS as I have wanted to add a touch of sparkle for it for the longest time. I had actually already attempted to decorate it once but was unhappy with the design so ended up removing all the jewels, which was a very tedious task! So after playing around with the jewels and trying out various patterns I finally settled with the design you see above.

Of course with my newly sparkled out DS I had to decorate my games case to match.
My final project, for now anyway, was to decorate a mirror I got from a Christmas cracker. I actually collect pocket mirrors and like a magpie am attracted to the cute sparkly ones so if this mirror was to be part of my collection it first needed the special sparkle treatment.

I actually think this is one of my favorite mirrors out of my collection, once I started adding sparkle to it I just couldn't stop but I'm really happy with the way it turned out, it now deserves its spot in my pocket mirror collection.
With the chilly weather at the moment it's easy to get bored just staying indoors huddled by the fire so the next time you get bored why not try bringing some extra sparkle to your belongings as it's a good way to ease boredom and the results are sure to make you sparkle <3 data-blogger-escaped-span="">
