💚 Unboxing GOT7 Photocard Collection Book 💚

Whilst out browsing one of Bangkok's many cute stationery shops I noticed that they had these adorable folders for displaying your K-pop photocards, the ones I saw were specifically for NCT and so I was really hoping that one of the amazing fan artists here would produce a GOT7 one and ... THEY DID! So of course I ordered one ASAP and it finally arrived so I thought I would show you all what it looks like.

The artwork for the collect book was done by one of my favourite Thai fan artists Bim and in a carnival style that matches the 2021 calendar I bought from her from to. I love that it features not only GOT7 but their pets to and of course an ahgase, it's such a cute touch. The collect book also came with a postcard, keychain, sticker and standee of my bias Jackson dressed as one of my favourite (and Jackson's) Disney characters Buzz Lightyear which was I loved so much and you can also purchase these character sets separately from the collect book to if you want to collect all the members dressed as Disney charcters, Jinyoung as Mickey and Jaebeom as Stitch are sooo cute!!

These collect books are such a cute idea and really nice for displaying your photocards, I'm not much of a photocard collector so I decided to use mine to mostly display my concert tickets. I do however have a separate card wallet full of Jackson photocards I have collected so I may get a separate folder especially for him in the future and I would love to get one for my Day6 collection to. So if you're looking for a cute way to keep your precious K-pop photocards then you should definitely get yourself a cute collect book!

How do you like to display your photocard collection?

Into The Woods - Chiang Mai - Thailand

Into the Woods - Chiang Mai - Thailand

For the past couple years Chiang Mai has been my home and one of the things I loved most about being there is the cafe culture, there are so many amazing little cafes and hideaways all over the city and as coffee is grown in the northern hills of Thailand you can always be sure you're getting something special. One of my favourite cafes in Chiang Mai is this fairy tale hideaway tucked just inside the walls of the old city, Into The Woods.

Into the Woods - Chiang Mai - Thailand

Walking into this cafe is like walking into a dream, from floor to ceiling the cafe is decorated in various fairy tale murals, cute funko figures and props, there's even a bookcase full of books and games for you to check out while you enjoy your food and drinks, it's a place that you could easily spend the whole day relaxing in.

Into the Woods - Chiang Mai - Thailand

I found out about this cafe because I was blown away by their latte art, seriously just check out the owner's Instagram because some of the things she's done are amazing from Disney characters to Game of Thrones to realism to movie posters. My coffee came with this cute bear latte art on it but if coffee isn't your thing you can order many other drinks as well as Thai and Western food which is prepared fresh to order and they also have adorable cakes which seem to be super popular as they almost always seem to be almost sold out when I visit there!

Into the Woods - Chiang Mai - Thailand

Into the Woods - Chiang Mai - Thailand

Halloween is the prefect time to visit this cafe because they have special horror themed food and drinks but still all year round you can enjoy the story book ambience and take a break from reality so if you're in Chiang Mai and need a break from all that temple hopping I definitely recommend a visit Into The Woods.

Where are your favourite places to visit to take a break away from reality?

Unboxing Presents from my BFF!!

My dear friend Cally sent me a huge package full of goodies which I was so happy and excited about I decided to make a video of me unboxing them for her to see. Living alone and being so far away from friends and family can be super hard sometimes so getting such thoughtful care packages like this is an amazing way to show you still care. Although this was filmed a while back I forgot to share my excitement on the blog but as it's the season of giving I thought I would share it now in the hopes that it will inspire you to reach out to friends and family near and far and make their day all the much brighter.

You can find Cally on Instagram and Twitter so be sure to check her out, give her a follow and spread the love. I'm honestly so grateful to have the friends that I do, I may not have many and I may be far apart from them but they bring so much joy and inspiration to my life and while I'm super flaky at keeping in touch with everyone I promise I'll make an extra effort and make 2018 our best year ever!

What ways do you like to show your friends that you care?

A Quick Visit to Hong Kong Disneyland

I only had a couple days stopover in Hong Kong before my visit to Seoul, South Korea and although I had visited Hong Kong once before many, many years ago one of the things I wanted to do the most but didn't get to do was see Disneyland so I made it a priority to finally visit there this time. It's one of my life goals to visit every Disney theme park in the world and I'm not doing too badly so far with Paris, California, Tokyo and now Hong Kong crossed off the list.

Hong Kong is probably the smallest Disney Park I've visited but it didn't make it any less awesome and I loved seeing what exclusive items and rides they had there, although it was a rainy day I still managed to have lots of fun and I loved seeing Toy Story Land and the Mystic Manor which is their own special "Chinese" take on the Haunted Mansion. Unfortunately though as I was there on a quiet day in the off-season I couldn't find much in the way of food, I really wanted some of the Disney themed dim-sum I'd seen pictures of online but I couldn't find them anywhere but I still managed to get myself some Chinese egg tarts and an Iron Man waffle so my cute food cravings were somewhat satisfied.

Of course I couldn't help but buy a bunch of souvenirs while I was at Disneyland so here's a video of me showing some of the things I bought including an exclusive Hong Kong Disneyland Lucky bag which I had no idea what was inside but *spoiler alert* I LOVED EVERYTHING!!!

Hong Kong is just a few hours flight away from Thailand so I'm pretty sure I'll be back one day soon to explore more of the city and eat all the delicious dim sum so look out for more adventures soon!

What is your favourite Disney Park & which one would you love to visit?

5 Fandom Friday: Favourite Droids

Happy Fandom Friday!! This week's topic suggested by Ravalation I just had to write about. I've always been fascinated by robots and artificial intelligence ever since I was a kid and it's one of my favourite subjects to watch but I wanted to challenge myself a little for this prompt and try and be a little diverse as I probably could have gone the obvious route and listed 5 droids from Star Wars alone so I tried to include some slightly unusual choices from a few different genres just to keep it fresh this time. If you still have no idea what 5 Fandom Friday is then head on over to the Geek Girl Bloggers group or visit creator The Nerdy Girlie's blog to see what it's all about and join in.

Wall-E
Wall-E
I love Wall-E so much, it doesn't matter how many times I watch this movie it always makes me smile. I know I've mentioned Wall-E so many times in my past 5 Fandom Friday posts but he's just so cute and sweet, whenever I'm feeling a little bit down I always turn to Wall-E to make me smile he's just the best little robot ever!

Roy Batty
Blade Runner is my favourite movie and every time I watch it I always see something new, although there are so many different cuts of the movie there's always something new to see but it always seems to surprise me or make me think in different ways. The last speech of Roy Batty is just so iconic and so beautiful, I can't help but want to learn more about him as he's such an interesting character who has experienced and feels so much, he really makes you question what it means to be human.

Dorian
Almost Human was such a good series and even though it was cancelled after just one series I still really miss it. Dorian was one of my favourite characters and I found his developing story to be quite interesting even though it was very short lived. I also loved his humour and his relationship with Kennex (Karl Urban), they had such amazing chemistry together and made a great team. If you haven't watched Almost Human yet then I totally recommend it it's such a good series and a novel take on the "buddy cop" genre.

Genos
So technically Genos is a cyborg BUT it's kinda up for debate as he seems to be more robot than actual human and he also acts that way to which is what I really like about him. I can't believe it took me so long to watch One Punch Man but I love the series so much and while I think Saitama is pretty damn awesome Genos is probably my fave but part of that is because of his strange yet adorable relationship with Saitama, I totally want me a Genos he seems like such an awesome friend.

Samantha
I'm really pushing the definition of "droid" with this one but I had to include it because I thought it was so different. Her is one of my absolute favourite movies and I thought I was a really interesting concept about the developing relationships between humans technology in not just practical ways but emotional ways to. Although "Samantha" has no physical body she has a fully developed personality and growing emotions to which I found really unique because the love that develops between the characters although completely "synthetic" with no physical base seems more pure and genuine than some human relationships. Samantha also helps Theodore grow as a character giving him confidence and teaching him how to be a happier person and I just think that is so beautiful.

FYeahJapan: TOKYO DISNEYSEA!!!

Tokyo Disneysea

After out cold and snowy day in Disneyland I packed on the layers for DisneySea although it actually ended up being a pretty nice day which meant pretty lighting for pretty photos and if DisneySea is anything it's super pretty I loved seeing all the beautiful architecture there and even better there were lots of characters out to take photos with, I mean look at that cute dress Minnie is wearing I love it so much.

Tokyo Disneysea

We actually started lining up for a photo with Mickey  but were told he might be being swapped soon with Minnie which I was totally cool with and even more so when she came skipping out in that cute dress, urgh I really want her dress it's so pretty. Then after getting a bunch of photos with characters we headed over to Toy Story Mania to get some fastpasses but they were already gone... we did keep checking back throughout the day but there was always a 2 hour wait so we missed out on that one but I still really enjoyed the other rides, although maybe not The Tower of Terror which had me screaming for my life...

Tokyo Disneysea

My fave ride is probably Indiana Jones with Journey to the Center of the Earth coming in a close second, I loved those two rides and they kinda have the same theme to and well if there's anything I want to be in life it's an explorer because I love going on new adventures! I loved that DisneySea was like you were taking a journey around the world with all its different themed lands, apparently it's aimed towards the more adult crowd and great for dates... Japan is all about that romance thing!

Tokyo Disneysea

I mean even Stitch has a date.... me! Ok but seriously l love how we match them in this photo and I adore Stitch as I've probably mentioned several times in my previous blog posts, we found him (and Angel) in the Arabian Coast section hence the cool headgear, Daisy Duck was also taking photos there in a cute Arabian themed outfit but by the time we got our photo with Stitch, Daisy and the Aladdin characters had all disappeared.

Tokyo Disneysea

The Arabian Coast was absolutely beautiful I loved how authentic it looked and the smell of the curry popcorn was amazing and I can definitely vouch for its deliciousness to and I was so hungry by that point it didn't last very long, I'd pretty much devoured the whole box by the time I walked across the bridge to the Mermaid's Lagoon...

Tokyo Disneysea

How gosh darn beautiful is this place? I loved DisneySea and the Fantasmic show was probably the best show I've ever seen and a great way to end our day there but of course I couldn't leave without getting myself some Duffy souvenirs even though I'd never heard of him prior to my visit to Japan but he's a pretty big deal there I mean he's even got a whole section of the park dedicated to him and upon our arrival we spotted a Japanese couple not only carrying two really big Duffy toys but also bags, headbands and to top it all off they were pushing a baby carriage full of Duffy plushies, their love for the Disney bear is real!

What Disney Park is your favourite or would you love to visit?

FYeahJapan: TOKYO DISNEYLAND!!!

Tokyo Disneyland

Tokyo Disneyland has been on my travel bucket list ever since I saw photos of my uncle's visit there in the early 90's, I have dreamed about this place almost my entire life so I was SO excited for our visit and I had planned the perfect outfit out and everything and then the day came and the weather was horrible! We had been really lucky with the weather during our time there I had even been joking about it being our "summer in Tokyo" but not this day...

Tokyo Disneyland

Despite the crappy weather I still had a great time and one of the advantages of a gloomy day is that the park wasn't too full of people in fact it all got a bit magical during the Frozen Parade as during the finale as Elsa was singing Let it Go it actually started to snow and not the fake snow they had been pumping out REAL gosh darn snow how magic is that?

Tokyo Disneyland

Meeting the characters was MAYHEM you literally just crowded around the characters battling with pushy parents and screaming kids waiting for them to chose you, no lines, no organisation just mayhem I'd never experienced that before so it was quite a shock but we eventually got chosen by Donald YEY!

Tokyo Disneyland

There was one thing I was looking forward to most at Tokyo Disneyland and that was the infamous Little Green Men mochi, I even googled where to find them (FYI it's the Soft Landing snack stand in Tomorrowland, upstairs, near the exit of the Star Tour ride) and I'm happy to report that they did not disappoint the strawberry one was pure heaven OMG I would fly back to Tokyo right this minute for another one it was just that good!

Tokyo Disneyland

I tried to do a few different things in Tokyo Disneyland that I hadn't done in the other Disney parks I had visited so I went on a few new rides and I also finally got to see the Electric Light Parade after seeing the photos my uncle took of it back in the early 90's and although it was absolutely freezing it was super pretty and such a great end to our day in Disneyland but our Disney adventures didn't end there as the next day we were going to Disneysea....

What is your favourite Disney movie?

♥ Hello Kitty Simpsons Skirt - This has to be the most awesome collab! All the Springfielders in their cute Hello Kitty style is adorable I would definitely love to have this in my wardrobe

5 Fandom Friday: Favorite Theme Park Rides

I has been a really long time since I visited a theme park and even longer since I visited a theme park other than Disney so no doubt by the end of this post I'm going to be wanting to book my next trip to a Disney park! I can't remember a lot of the rides that I've been on and it's been that long that I'm sure some of them may have changed, there are also a bunch of rides which I wanted to go on but didn't have the time to like Tower of Terror or any of the Pixar rides but if I ever am lucky enough to visit again I'd love to try out some new rides as well as visit some of my old favourites...

5 Fandom Friday: Things I’ve Bought But Haven’t Read/Watched/Played Yet

This weeks #Fandom5 has forced me to look at my reckless spending habits a bit, I have to admit I'm much better than I used to be when buying new things but sometimes I just can't resist. I have so many things that are unopened and unloved, my precious Kotobukiya Spider-Woman and Batusi Batman are still in their boxes in a closet because I have nowhere to display them so I'm hoping by making this list that I'll force me to finally get some use out of all these awesome things.

Disney DVD Collection 2015
My collection is FINALLY complete and although I've seen most of these movies there is quite a few in my collection I haven't watched yet because I want to have a big Disney movie marathon and watch every movie in order so perhaps I need to stop procrastinating and start on that tonight!

This was a Christmas present and while I loved the previous Layton games my Nintendo 3DS XL just does not get much love anymore. Sadly I don't have a lot of time to play games as most of my other hobbies have taken up all my time and the most gaming I do is maybe a couple games of Tsum Tsum while I'm waiting for the bus. I'm not sure if I'll ever get round to playing this one so maybe I'll have to swap it for a few graphic novels instead...

I loved Heroes when it was on TV and although it did lose its way a bit I did really care for the characters and was sad that it got cancelled I bought this set on sale a long time ago now but it's still in its plastic wrap so I'll definitely have to watch it soon with Heroes making its return later this year!

Look how freakin' awesome this is it's almost a crime I haven't even played with it yet! Lego is made to be played with, although I seem to have got into the habit of buying and not building sets which is a goddamn waste but when I do get round to building this one I'm definitely going to make a build video for it similar to the one I did for my Back to The Future set.

This is such a beautiful book which I've only briefly flicked through before putting it amongst all my other pretty Game of Thones books. I'm a bit precious about my books so I'm kinda scarred of reading it as it's such a beautiful book I don't want to damage it so that's the stupid reason I haven't read it yet. I know WTF Cate stop with your irrational worries and read the goddamn pretty book already!

#OOTD: Ms. Maleficent

Maleficent is my absolute favourite Disney villain she's just pure unadulterated evil and I love it! When I first started wearing my hair in victory rolls someone made a comment that I looked like Maleficent which naturally I took as a compliment so now every time I wear my hair like this I suddenly feel empowered and ready to take on the world.

Red lips and lashes also seem to have that empowered effect on me so this outfit made me feel super bad ass. I'm really excited for the Maleficent movie to come out, I adore Angelina Jolie and from what I've seen so far she looks just perfect in the role!

Most of my outfits have been taking on a theme lately, I guess it's just more fun that way and fashion is all about fun. I absolutely love that we're seeing more "geek girl fashion" now because for a long time people told me that I couldn't be into both comics and fashion and I wasn't a real fan but that's just absolute nonsense you can be into whatever you want there are no rules especially when it comes to the things that you love.

♥ Dress - Blackmilk
♥ Jacket - Forever 21 / Handmade / Wings
♥ Necklace - Vivienne Westwood
♥ Ring - Zentosa
♥ Bracelet - Cateaclysmic Crafts
♥ Circle Lenses - Pinky Paradise

New Handmade Designs for Sale

In case you missed it I added a few new items to my Etsy and Storenvy, I just love crafting it completely soothes me and it makes me so happy that others like my creations to, I love seeing pictures of people wearing my stuff and if you have any then please do share them with me and I'll give you a shoutout on my Facebook page.

Mike & Sulley Necklaces
Etsy // Storenvy ♥
Monsters, Inc. is one of my fave Pixar movies and after getting Monsters University for Christmas I was totally inspired to make something fun featuring my favourite monsters. I chose beads that I thought would compliment each of them and created the little charms using figurines I got from blind bags, now I kinda want to make necklaces for the other monsters what do you think?

White Snow Fox Scarf
Etsy // Storenvy ♥
Winter is well and truly here and I wanted to make something a bit special for those snowy days so chose a yarn with some added sparkle which I think adds an extra wintery touch to it and some icy blue buttons for eyes, just a little something to keep you looking cute and warm on those chilly days.

Violet Bunny Scarf
Etsy // Storenvy ♥
I love the colour of this yarn so much and I think it suits the bunny design so well, I've been making these for a while but gave them a mini makeover as the bows I was using previously had been discontinued but nevermind, I think these new bows are just as cute and compliment the violet colour perfectly.

Grey Glitter Bunny Scarf
Etsy // Storenvy ♥
Glitter makes everything better! I wasn't sure exactly what to do with this yarn when I first bough it but I figured everyone loves bunnies and they pretty much look cute in all colours. I didn't want to make this design too busy with the yarn already being glittery so chose a simple silver bow and some grey eyes to bring out the sparkle.

Love Bunny Scarf
♥ Etsy // Storenvy ♥
Valentine's Day is nearly here and I wanted to make something special for the occasion and nothing quite says love and cuddles like a cute bunny. I used a heart print bow and some red roses for that added Valentine's Day touch and thought I would give the bunny blue eyes to add a bit of softness, the perfect "I Love you" gift for that special someone.
