Things That Make You Go Oooooo (December 2019)

Disney Fireworks

We have reached the end of another year, everyone we made it! Overall I feel like I've had a good year and while there were stressful times the good outweighed the bad, I got to do a lot of fun things, make a lot of new friends, and I feel like I'm leaving 2019 in a good frame of mind. My final month has been a lot of fun I went to see Day6 in concert and won a place to see them at a press con, I also attended some events while BamBam was in town and got to see him one last time before GOT7 return to Thailand in 2020 to do their first ever stadium concert to a sold out audience of almost 50,000 people, for not just one night but two consecutive nights!! I'm so excited to meet my ahagse friends from all around the world and share this moment with them. I hope everyone's 2020 is a blessed one and you all are healthy and happy, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

GOT7 BamBam - Blue Carpet Show for UNICEF Thailand

On December 11th, UNICEF Thailand held a press event at Central World in Bangkok to give details about their upcoming Blue Carpet Show with some of the celebrities that will be in attendance. I went along to support my boy BamBam from GOT7 who has been working with UNICEF Thailand for the past year and will not only be performing at the Blue Carpet Show, which will air on January 11th (Children's Day) on Thai TV, but has also designed a limited edition teddy bear which you can purchase and help support UNICEF's work for children around the world.

I'm very proud of BamBam as he always does his best to support good causes, from his first clothing collection with Represent raising money for Water.org to now being an ambassador for UNICEF Thailand. The bear he designed is really adorable and available to buy now on UNICEF for ฿2990, the bear is limited edition with only 900 available to buy and each customer can only buy a limited quantity of 5, international shipping is also available for those of you who live outside of Thailand who would like to purchase the bear, and further information on how purchase can be found here.

It's always a joy to see the work BamBam does and how much he has grown over the the years, he brings so much joy and happiness to the people around him and is such a great example. I'm so happy he's supporting such a good cause and although I won't be able to purchase the bear he designed myself I hope that I can spread the word so others who may be able to can and help support this cause and I will definitely be tuning into The Blue Carpet Show when it airs in January.

Day6 World Tour "Gravity" in Bangkok, Thailand (Concert)

After the excitement of the Press Con I was more than ready to see Day6 in concert the next day, although after hardly getting any sleep I still arrived at the venue too late to get any of the merchandise I wanted, pro tip for Thai concerts if you want to buy merchandise you should at least arrive at the venue a few hours before sales open and be ready with cash as they don't usually take cards, also keep in mind that Bangkok traffic especially at the weekends is bad so will probably add an extra hour onto your journey!

This is my third Day6 concert in Thailand and each year the venue gets larger and it's such a joy to see the fandom grow and more and more people coming to their concerts. It's so nice to see such a diverse crowd of people to from very young fans to older fans and nationalities to, not just Thai, a lot of people from other countries travelled to see Day6 and it was so nice to see how they had brought us all together and everyone was respectful of each others space, I nearly always get standing for these concerts in Thailand and not once have I experienced any rudeness or pushing.

When Day6 finally came on stage the atmosphere exploded everyone was singing and jumping, there was so much positive energy it really was electric, I think this is definitely my fave concert so far they've come a long way and it's amazing to see just how much more confident they are on the stage now and how much they love performing, there were genuine smiles on their faces throughout the whole concert.

My favourite moment from the concert was when they sat down with us and had us 'My Day' sing their songs to them, it was really nice to hear everyone singing in Korean even though most of us don't speak Korean, but just seeing the pure look of joy on each of their faces, it just really made me happy to share that moment with them. I also LOVED the solo stages, Young K had teased in a live before the concert that he had changed his stage up and this was the first time he would be performing it and it was soooo good, I was just in awe the whole time!

I absolutely adored the fan project for Day6 and seeing just how happy they were seeing it was so touching, when I first took out my banner I saw Wonpil smile as he read it and then as the song progressed signs were lit up for them and they were so genuinely shocked and amazed! I turned my attention from them for a moment to see the crowd all singing along waving their lights and banners and it was so beautiful to see so I'm happy we could create this special memory for them.

The concert seemed to end all too quickly and their ending speeches telling us how happy they are and that they hope to always share that happiness with us and for us to always have good days really touched me. There was so much more I wanted to hear and see, so many more songs of theirs that I would love to see live but I know there will be a next time and that they'll come back one day so until then, I Wait.

What's your favourite Day6 song?

Day6 World Tour Gravity in Bangkok, Thailand (Press Con)

Day6 hold a very special place in my heart, I found them early 2017 when they were doing the Every Day6 Project and I was just blown away by their music and could not believe I hadn't heard of them sooner! Day6 are something different in the Kpop world in that they not only write and produce their own music but they play their own instruments to and continually experiment with their sound which ranges anywhere between heavy rock to synth pop.

This is actually my 3rd time seeing Day6 in concert in Thailand, I made a promise to that no matter what I would at least try to see them perform once a year and this year was extra special as I not only got to see them in concert but I won a spot to see them at the press con the night before the concert. I always feel very blessed when it comes to Day6 they came into my life at I time where I was feeling very lost and alone and their music spoke deep to my soul and really helped me get through that bad time in my life.

The press con was held at Emquartier, the same place where they did a special performance for New Years Eve a few years ago, I was always quite sad I missed out on that as I was in Seoul at the time but seeing them here years later in front of an even bigger crowd of fans makes me so proud of how far they've come.

At the press con Day6 shared with us a few of their hopes for the concert, their favourite things about Thailand and ended it buy wishing us a Happy Christmas and New Year and that they were excited to see us all for the concert the next day, I honestly felt so blessed I could see them up close and see the genuine happiness and excitement in their faces being back in Thailand ready to perform for us fans or 'My Day' as we're known.

Day6 are definitely a band to look out for, a lot of people who say they aren't fans of Kpop I always tell to check out Day6 and they're always pleasantly surprised by them and quickly become fans to. They have such a diverse range of songs and their lyrics are so deep and meaningful and written almost entirely by the members themselves so do check out their music and they'll be taking the tour over to Europe in the new year so be sure to grab yourself a ticket to see them live, you definitely won't regret it!
