Catching up on Comic Con(s)

Whilst sorting through photos of MCM Expo last week I realised that I hadn't yet posted about the one I went to in November and also my hometown con apart from a few photos I had posted on Instagram so I thought I would do a catch up post before my next visit to a con.

My hometown con has been bringing some really awesome people into our town and I was so excited to see that Supernatural star Alaina Huffman AKA Abaddon, Queen of Hell (and my heart) was there, there was also some guy called Crowley sitting next to her but who cares #TEAMABADDON!

I met quite a few of the Game of Thrones cast last year but I think I fangirled the most when I met Roy Dotrice, seriously though he IS Game of Thrones, I absolutely love his narration of the books (even with the weird pronunciations) and I really hope he will narrate the rest when they come out, fun fact he played Wesley's dad in an episode of Angel once. I also got lucky that day and found Drogon in my Game of Thrones Funko blind box which was really awesome so I carried him round the rest of the day petting him and calling him my baby...

One of my favourite things at MCM is the cosplay, I have seen some really beautiful costumes there and everyone is so polite and friendly. The highlight of the day is the Star Wars parade which I always make sure to watch, little did I know at the time that Tom Felton was actually in one of those Stormtrooper outfits and if you haven't watched Tom Felton Meets The Superfans yet I highly recommend watching it!

Last week was the first MCM of the year in Birmingham and to my surprise Tom Mison AKA Ichabod from Sleepy Hollow was there as well as Andrea, Noah and Rosita from The Walking Dead but as the queues were so long for The Walking Dead guests and I had already missed the panel (stupid traffic!) I decided just to meet Tom, who recognised my Agent Carter outfit right away which made me so happy as I didn't think many people would seeing as it hasn't been picked up for TV here (come on UK what are you doing!?), he also started singing Peggy at me in the photoshoot which made me giggle.

I had such a great time at all these cons and I love dressing up, so I think I'm all caught up in time for the next con now all I need to do is finish my outfit for it. Things That Make You Go Oooooo (March 2015)

Signs of spring have finally started to reach us here, flowers are starting to bloom and the days are getting brighter although it's still very cold outside so I'm not quite ready to go out without a coat and a scarf just yet. I think spring is a great time to get organised and get rid of all that dust literally and figuratively so I'm going to be making a real effort to do that and create a better environment for myself. 5 Fandom Friday: One Fandom Item Styled Five Different Ways

I thought about doing different things for #Fandom5 this week, one was a collection of #OOTD photos but it has been way to gloomy and rainy to get any decent outfit shots so I thought instead I'd do a collage using stock photos of something I already had (like my Agent Carter post) but then eventually decided on styling an item I've been wanting to buy for a while with things I already have because I thought if I could figure out 5 different unique ways to style it then I could maybe justify buying it, so what is the item? It's this Sailor Moon skirt

I have these awesome Luna & Artemis tights that I haven't even worn yet because I'm so scared of damaging them but I'd have to wear them with this skirt, also I'm cheating a little because I don't have this hoodie but it's on eBay for $17.99 so I'm very tempted!

I own quite a few space themed items so I thought I'd run with the theme of the moon and put together a fun summer outfit, the pop of colour from my boots and satchel add a nice touch too don't you think?

Babs Tarr did an awesome thing when she drew the Sailor Scouts in Biker gear and I absolutely loved the photoshoot my LA friends did so much that I thought I'd put together a fun sailor punk outfit using my awesome Daryl Dixon jacket.

As it's pretty cold here the majority of the time I thought I better include some winter looks so I could get maximum use out of the skirt, so lots of thermals and leg warmers for this one as well as one of my awesome bunny scarves to keep me warm and toasty.

I put this one together partly because I want to get some use out of these "Peggy Shoes" I have so I thought as it's Sailor Moon I would go for something a bit school girl inspired and of course I had to include one of my gorgeous  flower crowns.
